- חֶמְדָּהf. (b. h.; preced. wds.) 1) same. Sabb.152a (expl. אביונה, Koh. 12:5) זו ח׳ that means the sexual appetite; (Koh. R. to l. c. חַּאֲוָה). 2) desirability, desirable object, precious gift.
